BUILD A NAME WITH CHENILLE
Size: 7" blocks
Technique: Rag quilting, chenille.
Combine chenille with rag quilting to build a name one square at a time. Or use all of the letters and numbers for an alphabet and numbers quilt. Simply layer 3 fabric squares on top of a backing, batting, and base fabric, center the letter on top, and sew diagonal lines spaced about 1/4" apart through all layers. Cut between the stitching lines of the top layers, assemble blocks, clip seams, and wash to fluff seams. Double the size of the 2-3/4" letters included for the 7" blocks shown. Use the letters and numbers for appliques or in other projects.
