This pattern was designed to introduce you to some of the many block patterns that can be made using the rag quilting technique. It includes a variety of full-size applique and quilting motifs that can be used for other projects in addition to this quilt. Many of the blocks can be pieced and quilted in one step, saving time and thread. Choose just one or two of the blocks for a simpler quilt. The design possibilities are endless. A tip is included for keeping most of the lint out of the washer and dryer. The moon & star and sunflower & heart blocks were featured in patterns in the March and September 2008 editions of McCall’s Quick Quilts.
